You Are Amazing

onsdag 28 juni 2017

Hello there crafters!
I´m back to share a card for the current sketch challenge over at The Paper Players. I started with one stamp from an old Exchangeable Clear Stamper set. I stamped it twice, one with different Distress Markers, the other was first white heat embossed and then watercolored. Next I cut the embossed flowers out by hand and adhered them over the first one with foam tape, which then also was cut out.
I then continued on and created the background using Distress inks and the "3Flourishes" stencil from Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi. For the left edge I used a Artemio border punch. Finally, I stamped and heat embossed the You Do sentiment on Vellum and added a few pearls.
As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Summer!

söndag 25 juni 2017

Hello and welcome!
Today I´m sharing a card where I have used a digi image, which I colored up with my Copics and also some Distress inks for the background. I love this image, it shouts vacation and adventure. I cut it out by hand.
The sentiment stamp is from Gummiapan and I have used some dies, the "Small Flock of Doves" from Memory Box, "Stitched Scallop Basic Edges" and "Clouds" from My Favourite Things. I added some glitter Stickles and Glossy Accents as a finishing touch.
That´s all for today. As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Training Log

onsdag 21 juni 2017

Hello there crafters!
Then it was time to fix a new training diary again. Even though I nowadays log all my workouts on an online diary, I think it is still easy to use a regular paper book as a complement. And I want to fix it up a bit of course. I hope I'll be a little more sweaty than the girl on this bike though.
There must not be too many things that stand out and get in the way, because it should be grabbed many times before it is fully written. That's why it's pretty flat and simple. I used old patterned papers and a digi image that I colored up with my Copics, I also added some Glossy Accents and Stickles even if it´s not visible on the photo.
As always thanks so much for stopping by!

With The Wish Of A Merry Christmas

söndag 18 juni 2017

Hello and Happy Sunday!
My newest cards for Muse:ChristmasVisions is made up of mostly leftover scrapbook papers and a couple of old stamps. It always feels so good when I can use up some waste pieces:)
The first is an almost exact copy of Chriss layout where I cut, glued and drawn up my own small houses of paper. For the next, I have used some beautiful trees that I cut out and let the houses stay in the background.
For the first one I also used a Christmas Tree stamp from Inkido and a sentiment stamp from You Do. To the other I used a sentiment stamp from Scrapfabriken and the Go Kreate Large Frames Frilly #7 dies.
Thanks for taking a look at my latest projects!
Hugs, Birgit

Happy Summer!

fredag 16 juni 2017

Hello Everyone!
Here is a summer greeting to you all out there! With me, all the schools finished for the term and some are also beginning their holidays. Outside my window is nature in its fairest bloom, so beautiful! This is a card to CAS Colours & Sketches and their sketch challenge going on this week.
I used a digi image that I colored up with my Copics and then cut out partly by hand and with a round die. I also cut out a round frame that I adhered with foam tape. I decided to create the left border with Wendy Vecchi´s stencil "Dots & Stripes Borders" and blue Distress inks. For the sentiment I used a Gummiapan stamp that was white heat embossed on black cardstock. I´ve added some shine to the ice cream.
Okay, I think that´s all for me today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs, Birgit

Hi there!
As I promised the other day I'm back with my second condolence card that I have created. I got the inspiration for this from one of Birgit Edbloms amazing cards.
I used Tim Holtz Alterations "Tattered Leaves" die and Distress inks to create the crumpled leaves. I added Glossy Accents and some small transparent beads. Just as on the card I showed the other day, I have used the same Memory Box "Small Flock of Doves" as well as the Svenska Textstämplar sentiment.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hello there crafting friends!
Today I'll share a card of a kind I have never had reason to create earlier, a condolence card and it´s for a young person so I've tried to avoid using only black and gray. I have done another one that I will also show you in a couple of days.
I wanted to make a pretty simple card and this is what I came up with. I used  a couple of dies from Memory Box the "Kensington Border" and "Small Flock of Doves". For the background I used blue Distress inks and a die-cut heart as a reverse stencil, I also splattered over some waterdrops. The sentiment is from Svenska Textstämplar. I thought something was missing so I added an extra butterfly that also got a layer of Glossy Accents.
Okay, that´s all from me today, thanks for the visit!

Have A Wonderful Birthday

fredag 9 juni 2017

Happy Friday!
Today I dusted off the blackboard technique, it was very popular a few years ago, but I´ve not seen so much recently, so it was so fun to create this card for the Photo challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More
I started working with the background where I used Distress inks and We R Memory Keepers "Gemstone" Embossing Folder, I used it both as a stamp and embossed the pattern with it. I also sprayed over Glimmer Mist for real shimmer. Next I created the blackboard using a Gummiapan sentiment, white embossing pouder and a couple of chalk pens. Then I proceeded with the package, where I used one of the stamps from STAMPlorations "Party Mates" set, colored it with Copics, added some Star Dust Stickles and Glossy Accents. The numbers was die-cut with Mama Elephant dies.
Okay, that´s all for today. Thanks for visiting!
Hugs, Birgit

Born To Shop

tisdag 6 juni 2017

Hello there crafters!
Today I´m sharing a card that I tried to create in a little more modern style. I used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday as inspiration and an old stamp set from Docrafts that came with a magazine a long time ago.
I colored the images with Copics and cut them out by hand. Next I created the square using dies from My Favourite Things, I sponged the inner square with blue Distress ink and added a skyline made with a Marianne Design die. I adhered the outer square part with foam tape for some dimension. Pieces of K-designs paper hiding underneath. I finished of with Glossy Accents and a gem.
As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Rectangle Pull Card

torsdag 1 juni 2017

Hello there crafters!
I´m dropping in to share a rectangle pull card that I´ve created in a romantic vintage style, I like these gray and pink shades.
For the card base I used Elizabeth Crafts Pop It Ups dies. And the image with the lady is from Reprint and the patterned paper "Chandelier" is from Fabscraps. I made a little tag using small Magnolia Doohickeys "Tea Label Tags" and a sentiment stamp from MFT "Sow Much Cutiness" stamp set that I white heat embossed on black cardstock. I added a paper ribbon bow with a brad and adhered it with foam tape. Inside, I also added a rose that I cut out from the patterned paper.
Okay, that´s all from me today. Hope you all have a nice Thursday.
Hugs, Birgit
