Season´s Greetings

söndag 28 september 2014

Hello friends!
Here comes a vintage Christmas card with one of my oldest favorite Christmas stamps, it tends to be at least one Christmas card with this stamp every year.

The stamp is from Inkadinkado and I combined it with some old Webster Pages papers. I also used a piece of Black Magic Core´dinations cardstock that I first run through an embossing folder, then I tore and sanded it a bit.

The stamp was first heat embossed and then colored with some Distress inks. I painted the filigree metal with Gesso and then Inka Gold over the top. I used one of the Spellbinders Card Creator dies to cut the white frame out. The sentiment on top from k-designs is stamped on vellum and fasten with a rivet.
I hope you all have a nice and quiet autumn Sunday!
Hugs, Birgit

Gift Box

onsdag 24 september 2014

Welcome friends!
I have had an old box lying on the corner of my craft table for a while now where it has been waiting for its turn to be upcycled, now I finally felt ready to give it a boost...

...I found a piece of vintage paper that got me inspired. From there, it was easy to continue:)

I used some goodies from my stash to embellish the box, the sentiment stamp is from Vilda Stamps.

The heart was first cut out with  Tim Holtz Alterations Mini Heart Set in Grungepaper. Then I coated it with white Gesso and added a piece of tissuepaper before it had tryed. Then I sponged over it with Distress inks before I gave it a coat of Crackle Accents.

The box is easy to open by lifting up the front flap which is secured on the inside with a small Velcro holder. Hope you like my vintage inspired gift box. Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Autumn Colors

söndag 21 september 2014

Hello everyone and welcome!
Here with me Autumn has truly arrived with fall colors and shorter days, meaning that the first rays of light comes later in the morning and the darkness comes earlier each evening.

But every season has its charm and even if the fall is not my favorite, I think the autumn colors is perfect for male cards. For this I have used a stamped image from Bildmålarna that I have colored with my Copics,

The papers are from Fabscraps and Landstoken, the round sentiment stamp from Rox Stamps and the one on the tag are from Whimsy Stamps Film Strip Sentiments Collection.

As always, many thanks for visiting my blog today, bye for now....
Hugs, Birgit

fredag 19 september 2014

Hello there!
I´m back with yet another glass technique card, and yes, I know this card has ended up in the completely wrong season:)

This time I layered the vellum over a patterned text paper, I think it turned out nicely. I tried to stick to a gentle sheer color scheme with papers from Pion Designs and stuff from my stash.

Not so much more to say about this card, I added a silver corner piece that I coated with Platina Inka Gold to make it softer.
Wishing you all a happy weekend....thanks for your visit here today!

Hope Your Christmas Is Magical

tisdag 16 september 2014

Hello and welcome!
When I was on the go the other day with the glass technique, I also made this Ebony motive from The Emerald Fairie Garden.

Yes I know it's not Christmas yet, and with a different text stamp it could just as well have been an autumn inspired card but I liked to give it a different angle. I added Glossy Accents on the mushroom hat which made the vellum dented, love that shiny hat!
Thanks for stopping by!

Open Your Heart

lördag 13 september 2014

Hello friends!
I have tried a new technique for me that I think is called "stained glass". This is my first try, and you'll probably be seeing more here on the blog later on.

I started by stamping the Magenta heart on vellum with embossing ink and then white embossed it. Then I turned on the image and painted it with Copics on the back. I used one of the dies from Spellbinders Nestabilities Golden Squares One to make the frame. Then I stitched it on a piece of black CS before I added it to my card.
I think that´s it for today...have a great weekend!

Little Christmas Tag

onsdag 10 september 2014

Hello there!
I´m just dropping in to share a little Christmas tag I made yesterday. It has already started to itch in the fingers after Christmas crafts:)

It may look bigger than it is, the dimensions are just 10x7,5cm and it's made with Tim Holtz Alterations Mini Cabinet Card die.

All the stamps comes from Tim Holtz Alterations Holiday Joy stamp/die set and they were heat embossed with white and clear embossing pouder. "Merry Christmas" were cut out with a Mandys die from Engströms.
That´s about it from me today. Whishing you all a happy day!

Condolence Card

fredag 5 september 2014

Hello everyone!
This month's challenge over at Ett Trykk is condolence card, and I have made one.
Now I have to confess, I really struggled with this theme, as really I have no suitable stamps or supplies. This is the first card I have done with this theme, which is perhaps the best.

I have used the Borderabilities Fleur De Lis Border die from Spellbinders and the sentiment stamp is from Bildmålarna.

I can´t say I am totally happy with the final result, but here it is.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you will have a great weekend!
Hugs, Birgit

I found some other challenges for my card too:
Addicted To Stamps and More - Anything Goes (Get Well/Thinking of You)
Stampin Royalty - Black and White with a Pop of Color

Best Place To Be

onsdag 3 september 2014

Hello friends!
Today I have a card to share that I made when I got a little autumn feelings, and I think it shows on the card.

Here are a few quick details on my card. I started by stamping the main image from Norsk Stempelblad and then heat embossed it. Then I colored it with Distress inks pretty sloppy, because I think it fits a youthful style.

I used a Inkido stamp and a couple of Heidi Swapps text stamps.  Then I heated in a little Stampendous Aged Silver embossing pouder at the bottom, I love that...!

The leaves is left since last fall when I made a small pile of them because they are so beautiful. So I just added a couple of them from my stash together with a paperclip and nature ribbon.

And that´s about it! I hope you like the style.
Hugs, Birgit
