Easter Is The Bright Hope Of Time.

torsdag 29 mars 2012

Hi, bloggy friend! I am back today with something for the new challenge Frilly And Funkie - Favourite Vintage. I don´t know if this is the absolute style of min but it must surely be, because it is I who have done it:)

I've seen so many projects for Easter but this is the first thing I have done myself, suddenly I realized that it's actually Easter soon. So I made this tag and it´s also for Stampin Royalty and their Spring Things challenge, and Top Tip Tuesday - Easter or/and Animals.

I cut the bird and the eggs out of a paper sheet from Crafty Individuals and sanded the edges of the egg image. The sentiment and the chickens comes from last years Pion design collection, at least I think so. A number of Crafty Secrets and You Do stamps were used, feathers and some other stuffs too.
It will be more Easter projects in the coming days, this was fun.
Have a wonderful day!
Hugs, Birgit

Something Good Will Happen Today...

tisdag 27 mars 2012

It´s Tuesday, and I have a new card to show you!
I used spring green, cream yellow and pink/lilac shades, and papers from Papirdesign.
I hope this cute fairy will transform your day into a really good day!

I made the sentiment on the computer and printed out, then I cut it with one Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three. Sponged it a little and placed under the stamped Belles´n Whistles image which is colored with Copics. The wings are also painted with Twinklings Heavenly White and Star Dust Stickles for the right look. As a magic wand she got a glittery pin.

As background I stamped notes from You Do in a rosy shade with distress ink. In the bottom I used a Crafty Individuals stamp for the word Post Card in coffee Archival Ink.
I sew up the image with the sentiment and decorated the card with things from my stash, as flowers, lace, ribbons and pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful week!
Hugs, Birgit

It's Your Day Today

lördag 17 mars 2012

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by.
I'll be off for a few days so this will be the last post here on my blog for a while.
To make this easel card, I started with this funny and cute digital stamp from Pink Cat Studio. I colored him/her with Copics and a little Platinum Stickles, then I cut the image out with some different Spellbinders dies.

And then I finally got use for that Washi tape, which I do not really become a friend with yet. But here I used it for exactly what it is - tape!
And I taped it on un old paper from Panduro which in turn been sewn onto a paper from Prima - Pastiche Collection.

I made a small package and glued it in the upper right corner along with some flowers.

The sentiment was written on the computer and cut with a Spellbinders Fancy Tags die. Then sponged with Festive Berries Distress Ink. and a small cut-out heart found its way there, too.
I also used some ribbons and pearls. That´s about it I think.
See you again soon. Hope you have a great day!
Hugs, Birgit

Wags´n Whiskers - Luck Of The Irish - Use Green

torsdag 15 mars 2012

Hey there, everyone!
This time I have made un image using Prima stamps. I heat embossed it with white embossing pouder and then swiped/sponged across it with Distress Inks. I wanted it to look like twilight time.

I only used soft pale colors on papers and embellishments to get the atmosphere.
I cut the image out with Spellbinders Standard Circles and layered over one Floral Doily Motifs die.
For the sentiment from Reprint i used Nested Lacey Pennants.

The lovely new Spring papers from PaperCraftScandinavia was perfect for this card.
The metal and all the ribbons and lace comes from Hobbyhärvan.
For the bottom I used one Ek success border punch to add some interest to the card.

That´s all I think. Thank you and please visit again.
Hugs, Birgit

Hello...thanks for stopping by my blog today!
I have a really colorful Triangle Star card to show you. I thought that it is not often I use clear and bright colors on my cards, so I picked up a pair of colorful papers in yellow and red and this is what it became out of it.

I used Beutley Bear stamp set that was free with Cardmaking&Papercraft 2011, colored it with my Copics and a little glitter Stickles.

Here is the inside, papers from Panduro and Papermania.
Stamp: Vilda Stamps

I kept my card pretty simple because of the strong colors on the papers.
Happy Tuesday!
Hugs, Birgit

I´d like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Our Creative Corner - (Flowers, Yellow, Glitter)
Paper Cafting Journey - Anything Goes

Spring Is In The Air

söndag 11 mars 2012

Well, it may not be correct yet, but I think that the signs of spring appears more and more every day now, and it has become a little bit warmer here in my little part of the world.
And my heart melts when I see this little doggie and the happy birds, I get happy too:)

The stamp are from Stampavie Laurence Collection. I have colored the image with my Copics and white Acrylic Paint because I felt that some colors needed to be toned down a bit. I wanted the dog to be creamy-yellow, not chicken -yellow.

The eyes and the nose got some Glossy Accents, the flowers got glitterglue instead.
The sentiment are one freebie from last year. I used Prima Marketing papers Romantique Collection and Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares as a die cuted frame for my little cute doggie.

And of course the all important flowers, this time from Petaloo. Ribbon, butterfly, gems and natural cord finished of my card.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, with plenty of sunshine and singing birds.
Hugs, Birgit

Entered Challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - I used the Sketch

Flower Bottle

lördag 10 mars 2012

Hello friends... time for something new!
I have no card to share today, but instead I have a bottle in which I have used Wendy Vecchi´s Faux Crazed Glass Technique. I have recently seen this really cool technique and wanted to try it!

Here is my finished bottle. Since this was my first attempt, I took just a regular soft drink bottle and of course it has no cork, so I took a screw cap that fitted to the bottle neck.

Here is a closeup which shows the texture of the bottle. I have decorated with a lot of flowers, lace and charms. The label were cut out from one Forever Collection 6x6 sheet, you find it at PaperCraftScandinavia.

There is not much more to say about this project. Thanks for stopping by and have fun!
Hugs, Birgit

Home-made Just For You

onsdag 7 mars 2012

Hi, I did get inspired by The Shabby Tea Room and their Colourful Confections challenge to create this shaped birthday card.

I took a small cookie cutters that I had and stamped with it. Then I painted with Copics and to preserve in the middle, I used a little Glossy Accents. The cokies were cut out and placed on a piece of fabric that I've drawn with a white pen around the edges.

I got the shape of my card by using the largest Spellbinders Label Ten and un old Panduro cupcake paper. The heart was covered with gesso and Picket Fence crackle paint, then I sponged the edges a little bit.

For the tag I used a Rox stamp. Some other decorations, I used also as you can see.
This became a real "sweet" card. O´kay...now I'll go drinking coffee and then go out in the sun!
Hugs, Birgit

You Are Amazing

måndag 5 mars 2012

This time, I was inspired to make a card with no embellishments after I have seen this week's challenge at Stampin Royalty. It's really challenging to do it, usually it will be a lot of decorations on the cards to make it look good.

I just got home a stamp set with beautiful horses from Inkadinkado, so naturally I wanted to use them immediately. And over at Charisma Cards Challenge they wants us to use the masking technique, which I thought was perfect this time. I used three horse stamps and an old stamp, which I think is supposed to be grass, I used it as it anyway.

I stamped on a piece of Organic Tree paper from Fabscraps, and then I colored with Copics and Distress Inks. The image became maybe a little dark but got a feeling of stormy winds, skies opened and wild horses, at least I think so.

I used Spellbinders Label Eight to cut a hole in a piece of a Prima Marketing Romantique Collection paper. The edges were applied with Picket Fence Crackle Paint, then placed over the horse image.
The sentiment were stamped with You Do stamps in Peeled Paint Distress Ink. One staple and pieces of a swirl which were lying on my work table was also used.
This card is also for the Green or Good Luck challenge at Paper Sundaes.
I think that was all. Thank you for reading this far, now I wish you a really great day!
Hugs, Birgit
